I had a very experienced time in all schools before I started the education as a whole sale trader. After this education I started a new one but the military interrupted me and this was a good action.
When the military time came I made my education in Cologne and afterwards I experienced a glorious time at the JHQ Rheindahlen in Mönchengladbach. In Rheindahlen I was working for the HEROS-platoon which was responsible for the IT-supply and management for the NATO staff of Headquarters Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ ARRC). On April 1999 my command was to go to an international deployment. I was ordered to the Kosovo Verification Mission to Greece and later I was the General´s driver for a German KFOR general in Thessaloniki. Always oscillating between the capitals of Greece, Macedonia and Kosovo I got some impressions of the multicultural life in the Balkan. The ribbons and medals for this deployment still lie in my cabinet.
Ensuing I started to develop my IT-knowhow with some certificated Basic and Advanced trainings paid by the military service, before I started an occupational training at MGI Metro Group Information Technology GmbH.Here I started a new apprenticeship as an IT specialist for 2 and a half years. During this time I learned how to work in special teams and how to work with projects and how to lead them. Already during this time I specialised my knowhow about storage and storage area networks. At the moment I belong to two teams which administrate the SANs and the backup environment of the Metro Group in actual 32 countries. Within this job I travelled to several countries e.g. Japan, India, Russia, UK, Greece, Spain, Italy and France in order to plan and implement some customized SAN and backup solutions and to give the local administrators the required training.
At this place I want to thank my department leader for the feasibility to do this job and I want to thank my whole department for the very good cooperation.
